Cundī Dhāraṇī is a popular Buddhist mantra in China associated with Cundi according to the ': :' (南無 颯哆喃 三藐三菩陀 俱胝喃 怛姪他) :' (唵 折隸 主隸 准提 娑婆訶) Before reading the mantra, Buddhists reads these three times: :Prostrating to take refuge in the Susiddei (稽首皈依蘇悉帝) :With heads and faces bowed to the seven Kotie (頭面頂禮七俱胝) :We now are praising the great Cundi (我今稱讚大准提) :Only Wishing what we receive his merciful protection (惟願慈悲垂加護) Nan Huaijin suggested adding ''Ong Bu Lin'' to the ending of the mantra.〔(南怀瑾大师1985年准提菩萨圣诞准提法开示-佛教导航 )〕 In the sūtra, after the Buddha speaks extensively about the various effects and benefits of reciting the Cundī Dhāraṇī. Many of the effects are purifying and uplifting in nature. For example, after pronouncing the dhāraṇī, the Buddha then says:〔(''The Cundī Dhāraṇī Sūtra'' )〕 The dhāraṇī is also closely associated with buddhahood and complete enlightenment (Skt. ').
